My Story

Ajay Kumar - Aspiring Data Scientist

My name is Ajay Kumar, and I come from Panipat, Haryana. My journey into the world of technology began in the 8th standard when I first interacted with a computer. That moment sparked a deep curiosity in me about how tech devices and software work. Since then, I have been fascinated by computers and their underlying systems. I completed my 10th and 12th from a local school under the HBSE board, choosing the Non-Medical stream in 12th. In 2021, I took admission to pursue a B.Sc. in Computer Science at Arya P.G. College, Panipat.

This was where I wrote my first C language program—and that experience became a turning point in my life. I discovered my passion for programming, and it soon became my primary focus. However, after completing my first year, I faced financial difficulties. To support myself, I started working at a call center in Sonipat in 2023. During that period, I had to discontinue my degree. One of my colleagues introduced me to the world of Data Science—a field that perfectly matched my interests in technology, programming, and analytical thinking. Motivated and determined, I enrolled in the Data Science Master course at PW Skills in 2023, followed by the Full Stack Data Science Pro program.

Through these courses, I learned essential tools and concepts including Python, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Web Development basics, APIs, Databases, and modern tools used in the industry. I also completed multiple hands-on projects, which gave me a strong practical foundation. I successfully completed both programs in February 2025. To manage my personal expenses, I started working as a Visa Counselor at a consultancy in April 2025. Meanwhile, I continued searching for roles in the data science industry and working on upskilling myself. My ultimate goal is to become a Data Scientist and build a meaningful career in this domain.

However, I realized that most companies require at least a bachelor's degree in an IT-related field. Since attending regular college classes wasn't feasible for me anymore, I decided to continue my education through distance learning. In April 2025, I enrolled in a 3-year BCA program at Manipal University Jaipur (MJU) via distance education. Today, I am actively seeking job opportunities that align with my skills and passion, where I can apply my knowledge and begin my professional journey in Data Science. I am committed, hardworking, and eager to grow in this ever-evolving industry.
